Precious Bartending recently featured this cocktail on our first ever podcast feature! We featured the Perfect Brandy Cocktail on The People’s Podcast! TPP is a socially conscious and fun loving podcast that speaks to all society issues and concerns while still keeping it fun, classy, and entertaining. So why not throw a cocktail in there?!
The Brandy Alexander dates back to the earlier 1900s. Within it’s name, the obvious assumption would be that the cocktail was brought to light using Brandy; however it’s predecessor was actually the Gin Alexander. Over time Brandy took over making for a more smoother dessert cocktail.
For this cocktail we are using A De Fussigny Selection Cognac. The A De Fussigny Selection is distilled in the Cognac region of France: one from Grande Champagne and another from Petite Champagne. This along with their extraordinary cellars allow for excellent aging conditions.
For this cocktail you would need the following:
⁃ 1 part A. De Fussigny Selection Cognac
⁃ 1 part creme de cacao
⁃ 1 part cream (heavy or light)
Place all items in a shaker with ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a coupe or martini glass and garnish with freshly grated nutmeg.
