Fennel & Anguria
Today’s cocktail is based on a classic margarita with a #preciousbartendingllc twist.
2 oz. tequila (we used patron)
1 oz. trip sec
1 oz. salted watermelon juice *
1/2 oz. fresh squeezed lime juice
Dash of lavender simple syrup
1 tsp. Grounded roasted fennel seed
Add all ingredients into a shaker with ice and strain into a *sugar rimmed* glass. Garnish with a lime wheel and thin watermelon slice.
*To make salted watermelon cut whole chunks of watermelon into a blender and blend until smooth. Using a fine strainer, strain all particles out of juice. Add salt and lime to taste and let sit for 4 hours. Can be kept for up to one week.
*We used a sugar rim to balance out the brine flavor of the salted watermelon juice*
